By: Kawuan RaySpeedsters have the coolest powers in the DC universe by far, at least according to me. There are many speedsters, from Jesse Quick all the way to Eliza Harmon that are indisputably fast, but there isn't anyone that could reach the speeds of these speedsters here on this list. Imagine having the ability to run through walls unscathed and the ability to run through time and space to change past or future events. Even with these omnipotent powers, some speedsters are just never fast enough. Comicstorian, a comic book youtube page, does a great job explaining all the characters and their origins to all of their numerous viewers. Without further ado, here is a quick list of the top six speedsters in the DC universe: 1. Barry Allen- Barry is a responsible, caring, and hard working type of character, but he is stuck sad and very lonely inside due to the loss of his mother and the imprisonment of his father becasue he was falsely accused of the murder of his mom. https://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2019/09/11/a-new-flash-ally-is-changed-forever-in-the-flash-78/ 2.Wally West- Wally West is a laid back kind of character; his speed is almost faster, or at times can even be faster than Barry Allen depending on what timeline he’s in. With Wally West being such a young character, he still hasn't become fully matured yet, but when he does he will quite possibly be the strongest speedster. His relation to Barry Allen also varies depending on the timeline we read from. https://www.inverse.com/article/25083-suits-the-flash-could-borrow-cw 3.Zoom- Hunter Zolomon is a dark speedster. Hunter is smart and deceitful; he is also hell bent on stealing the speed from other speedsters. The origin of his powers are very dark. While he was receiving shock therapy in an asylum, he was stuck in a freak accident, leaving him with his super speed. https://comicbook.com/2015/12/06/spectacular-zoom-concept-for-the-flash/ 4.Godspeed- August Hart: the man behind the mask, and a good friend of Barry Allen who was struck by lightning during a speed force storm, which granted him his abilities. August then became crazy powerful by killing all the other speedsters that gained their powers from the storm and draining their speed. This made him so fast that he was capable of being multiple places at once. He was so much faster than Barry that he could be with Barry and be killing another speedster at the same time due to his unrivaled powers. https://www.cbr.com/the-flashs-godspeed-unmasked-dcs-speedsters-are-in-crisis/ 5.Savitar- Savitar is a temporal duplicate of Barry Allen. Savitar was brought into existence when Barry Allen created time remnants to fight zoom, and while the time remnant sacrificed his life for the multiverse, he still managed to survive. Barry Allen traveled through time creating a new timeline called flashpoint; the Barry Allen from this other timeline became evil because he was being shunned by the real Barry Allen and his friends, so he traveled through time and killed Iris West and other time remnants made by Barry, saving one temporal duplicate every time. His presence was enough to create a time paradox that he must prevent from catching him or he would cease to exist. https://www.inverse.com/article/29655-the-flash-who-is-savitar-real-identity-future-alternate-earth-barry-suspects 6. Reverse flash- Eobard Thawne is a man from the 25th century. Eobard's origin started by a time capsule falling from the sky landing near him. In the capsule he found a Flash suit from the 21st century. Eobard was a super fan of Barry Allen, along with being a pure Genius, so he took the suit and found a way to duplicate Barry Allen's powers from the speed force still remaining on the suit. He then used this new power to travel back in time to meet Barry. Barry ended up having to kill him because he was trying to kill Iris west. He knows that he is now going to be the nemesis of The Flash from that point on.

A Satirical Article By Thomas BeckerPhoto credit:https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/ThanosWARNING: THIS STORY IS NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. IT IS MEANT AS SATIRE ONLY. Thanos is generally considered to be an overarching evil “person,” but has anyone really thought about the reasons for what he was doing? When we approach his thoughts with an open mind, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to realize why he was actually right. The world is full of people suffering, and if there were fewer people, then everyone would get along just fine. The only reason people are ever angry or do evil deeds is because there are simply too many people. Thus, Thanos set off on his quest to make the world, in his own words, “perfectly balanced, as all things should be.”
The end justifies the means in this case. Although Thanos killed billions of people on his quest for the infinity stones, at least he successfully did not kill half of the universe by instead killing the other half. And the way he killed people randomly and not based on any sort of measure is a great example of why individual lives are meaningless unless they contribute to the greater good of keeping the population at only half of what it could be. It truly is a good thing that populations do not increase on their own, because otherwise the population would have to be reduced again at some point. As Thanos himself has said, “the hardest choices require the strongest wills.” Thanos proved that he had one of the strongest wills by sacrificing Gamora to obtain the power to sacrifice half of all living creatures to successfully do something. All of his sacrifices were still only “a small price to pay for salvation.” It is also obvious that the universe just didn’t have enough resources to support its current population, seeing as all the organisms that were living were able to sustain themselves and keep from dying. Just as Stalin heroically sent members of society who thought too highly of themselves to the gulag to do work for the good of everyone while they starved, Thanos disposed of random members of society to help them. It is amazing that he had nobody complain about being turned into dust. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but in Thanos’ case, his intentions led him on a path to somewhere else. Thanos’ path, oddly enough, leads to a place with twice as many people as anywhere else. I could have sworn he wanted it the other way though. |
